After “24 Magic” and “Draw with Me Session”, this week, Jun Wen will bring to you the activity called “Watch it, Feel it”! ⭐️
Some of you may have watched some heart-warming commercial advertisements during your teenage years. Putting the commercial value aside, some of these advertisements can actually be a reflection of our daily life, reminding us that we may have been taking someone important for granted. Therefore, let’s spend a few minutes to watch “Watch it, Feel it!”. After watching it, please share your thoughts in the comment section, who knows they can be inspiring to others! 😄

Throughout the adversities of recent times, the light of the Dhamma continues to provide warmth and joy and guide us all on the path of faith and understanding. As 2020 edges closer to its half-way mark, our second Scripture Study Workshop has arrived. We warmly invite all members to a reflection of the Dhamma, contemplation of the Buddha’s teachings and discussion of Buddhism’s most significant scriptures.
Wondering what Scripture Study is?
Perhaps it was coincidence that first brought you in contact with the Dhamma. Perhaps it was the intricacy of the Buddha’s teachings or the interest of a spiritual path fostered by generations before our own that gave rise to a fascination of Buddhism and its universal values. Whatever it may be, come along with us as we explore the mysteries of the Dhamma and dive into its application in the context of the contemporary world.
In times past, the Buddha urged his disciples to generate "endeavors," activate "persistence" and uphold their "intent" for the development of “skillful qualities.” (Magga-vibhanga Sutta SN 45.8) At Scripture Study, we will embark on a journey of discovery and explore the significance of the Buddha’s teachings. The Dhamma is an ocean of knowledge. Come with us to explore its greatest depth.
What will we be doing?
The schedule for this Scripture Study Workshop is as follows:
Scripture Study is open to everyone, from those exploring Buddhism for the first time to those who frequently attend Dhamma talks. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns. To sign up, please click here.
Theme
The theme for this Workshop is “Healing” as we explore the application of the Dhamma in the face of adversity and the correlation between psychological healing and physical health.
What to bring?
You, your friends, lots of questions and a big love for learning!
Disclaimer
Like all UNIBUDS activities, Scripture Study is not associated with sectarian division. UNIBUDS welcome attendees from all backgrounds to discuss and learn about Buddhism in a friendly and joyous environment.

“There are four qualities that lead to a person's happiness and well-being in this life.”
As our holidays come to the conclusions and university returns, we welcome each other to another year of joy, growth and learning under the light of Buddhism. Following a fruitful Orientation Week and outstanding O-Picnic, the first Scripture Study Workshop of 2020 is upon us. Join the UNIBUDS family on a journey to uncover the messages of Buddhism in a way never seen before.
Wondering what Scripture Study is?
Have there been times when you were puzzled by the teachings of the Buddha, perplexed by the words of the Dhamma or intrigued by the spiritual path fostered many moons before our time? Come along with us as we explore the life and work of the Buddha, the practices he set forth and their universal significance in our world.
In his final address, the Buddha advised his disciples to "strive" to obtain knowledge and understanding through "earnestness" and "heedfulness." At Scripture Study, we will shed light on the significance of the Buddha’s teachings and discover their enduring importance centuries after his time.
What will we be doing?
The schedule for this Scripture Study Workshop is as follows:
1. Introduction to Scripture Study Workshop.
2. Small group discussion of the Suttas, led by our lovely and insightful facilitator(s).
3. Group presentations of the Suttas – key messages, intriguing points and their importance.
Scripture Study is open to everyone, from those exploring Buddhism for the first time to those who frequently attend Dhamma talks. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns.
Theme
The theme for this Workshop is “Living the Dhamma” as we explore the importance of Buddhist teachings in our lives with particular emphasis on virtuous relationships and acting with compassion.

Like all UNIBUDS activities, Scripture Study is not associated with sectarian division. UNIBUDS welcome attendees from all backgrounds to discuss and learn about Buddhism in an open and joyous environment.
